One place we always anticipate visiting, that is full of fun things to do (for those who love the outdoors like us), and wonderfully close by (just over an hour), is Ensign Ranch in Cle Elum, WA. It is a church-owned property (owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ... aka, the Mormons;)), but is opened to anyone who wishes to camp, rent a cabin, or just visit.
Our last extended stay there was two years ago, so we were happy to make it back again for a few days of fun with Kevin's family.
WARNING: Following is a mass of pictures that document the great time we had!! I really did leave out a lot but there are still quite a few.

The beautiful surroundings, and Kevin's Dad's awesome roof-top tent! Not sure it gets any more studly!

Fun around the camp ... "shooting" the blow gun, playing with cousins, and just hanging out.
love my boys!!! They are amazing and have got big heads to boot. JK, but James' head really was swollen up because of an apparent allergy to mosquitoes (of which there were quite a few).
Eating time! One thing the Dueck family knows how to do is EAT. And that's no joke:). Mostly because of Papa Dueck's awesome cooking!
Bacon anyone??
Oh, and another thing they're really good at, is having FUN ... especially while eating! And that's definitely something to joke about.
Any ideas why I call these boys my wolf pack? Seriously, could we wear a shirt on occasion?? Oh, and no, this was not a planned photo shoot;).
Nothing like cousins!!
Girls at last!! What Mae doesn't have in sisters, she makes up for in girl cousins.
Grandma's Store! The kids were able to earn play money by helping out around camp, and then redeem it a couple of times a day at Grandma's awesome store. She had all kinds of goodies and prizes. What's better than grandmas? Nothing. Well, maybe the candy that grandmas give you, but mostly nothing.

Lounging poolside (sort of). Kevin's sister has girls galore, and finally just had a cute little boy around the same time our Joseph was born. They enjoyed hanging out together in the fabulous portable tent, while we all took turns going down the huge slip n' slide.
And here it is ... our favorite part of Ensign Ranch. The wagon rides, horseback rides, fishing trips, rope swing adventures, and canoe strolls are all fun too, but what we really love is playing at the slip n' slide on a nice hot day. These pictures really don't show the size of the "slide" but it really is quite large--fitting maybe 20 adults along the top at the same time.
Oh, so much fun! I'm so grateful for an incredible family, and can't wait for the next time we can all get together.
