Yay. General Conference time again.
Pretty sure I explain this every conference post, but as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka, Mormons) we come together twice yearly to listen to our sweet, sincere, and inspiring prophet--President Thomas S. Monson--as well as a varied group of other apostles and church leaders--give edifying remarks. The actual event takes place at the beautiful Conference Center in SLC Utah, but the majority of us view all or some of the weekend's 5 "sessions" (2-hour blocks) through broadcast from wherever in the world we may be.
This year Grandma and Grandpa D. were gone in California, so we spent both days at home, just hanging out as a family--watching conference on the big screen (thanks to a nifty ipad connector), having fun, and being uplifted. Here is a link to the talks for anyone interested.

Joseph with our little word treats. I'm sure many other families do this fun and tasty activity during conference--eating a certain pre-assigned treat (hence the labels) when you hear a corresponding word or phrase, or maybe just content in general when you're extra hungry;). Just to help the kids stay somewhat involved.

Mae working in her "conference packet". I guess Joseph is her assistant.

Kevin and Porter taking notes (while seeing to important texting business;) and staying comfy.

Oh, and my mom and I (but mostly her) had a big project this year. While we listened to conference, we worked on re-covering my ottoman and 10 family-room accent pillows. Too fun! Thanks, Momma L. You are one resourceful lady, and you spoil me like mad!

Until April. Can't wait!
Oh, and for the record, James and Brooks, were also present ... somewhere.
