powder-puff derby 2014

Mae has been able to participate in a "powder-puff" pinewood derby the last couple of years with her Activity Days church group. After watching the boys have all the excitement year after year, I think she's really enjoyed getting in on the action. I won't deny that I kinda sorta hate pinewood derby season--it just feels like one more stress on the big fat stress plate--BUT, there are some great things about it and I'm happy that my kids have fun with all the excitement.

I love that they get to spend some extra time working out in the garage with this awesome guy!!

And of course getting to display their car on the big day is pretty great for them as well.

It's hard to really tell in the picture, but Mae's is a truck with little puppies hanging out in the back;)

Pretty sure hanging out with friends is the best part of the whole ordeal!

Although, watching the cars race down the track probably comes in as a pretty close 2nd.

Fun times! Fun group of girls!

And for the close up;).
