This year we had a nice, quiet, low-key Christmas Eve. Kevin's folks were in Utah which always changes things a bit. We did have plans to get together with the fabulous Cook family, but Kevin ended up pretty sick and was still recovering up until the last minute--in fact, I think we had to wake him up for a late Christmas Eve dinner.
We still had a very nice time, though!

Prepared lots of yummy food.

Kept things pretty casual:).

Hung out in the cozy house.

Apparently Joseph did his favorite thing--played on the iPad.

Always nice to be home together, especially these days when we're all running around so much.

Our dinky little tree behind K and J (we finally bought a new, bigger one this year).

Time to eat.

Happy that Grandma could be with us!

Time to relax ...

And enjoy the scriptural account of the Savior's birth and a couple of very nice little videos Kevin found for us.

Time to share presents.

Loved watching them give to and receive from each other.

Probably my favorite part of Christmas this year!

The boys went in on, and picked out this cute sweater for Mae.

Mae found these versatile athletic gloves for James--he'd been wanting some for bicycling.

This kid just had fun with everything.

Including his new little "tablet" from Grandma.

My box full of kisses:). You can't see them, but they're there!

Kevin enjoyed taking "cartoon" pictures of us.

My mom gave me this cute vest ...

Then realized I had picked one out for her as well (a gift from Cathy and Ken!!)

The boys snuggled up in new down comforters.

Brooks posed as Batman with his cool sweatshirt.

And Mae was excited about her cute new vest.

Nice.

Grandma opened her special gift ... But perhaps had more fun with the ribbon.

Too fun and what a wonderful peaceful evening!
