The last day of November, we (as in, the adult Dueck ladies) started a new family tradition ... girls trip. We figured the guys had their "man hikes" so we should have some exciting regular bonding experience as well;).
So, in honor of ms. Heidi's (and Melanie's) b-day we went to Disneyland/ California Adventure.
It was super fun!! Much more so than I even expected ... Shhh, don't tell my kids.
I'm extremely desperate to catch up with my blog by Valentine's Day so I'm going to keep this brief.
We got in late Friday evening, crammed into a Heidi's sporty little car and headed to the hotel, followed by Cheesecake Factory (yum!) and a quick stop at Target.

Love these girls!

Got up fairly early the next morning and headed to the park.

Waited in a two-hour Cars line. although, Allison and Mel got a head start while the rest of us parked and bought tickets, so our time in the line was almost halved.

We took enough pictures to entertain fellow line waiters (that, or drive them crazy!!)

More pictures.

Heidi, Allison, and I jumped ship over to California Adventure for a double dose of Screamin'. Definitely my favorite ride of the day.

Where we posed for the cameras:). Lovely.

Allison amused us all day long ... leading us through the park Mary Poppins style (I think this girl knows Disney like the back of her hand--so nice!!). She had us bookin' it!

And was charging her phone at every available outlet.

Pretty sure everyone around was wondering who in the world we thought we were. Seriously. I apologize to anyone at Disneyland on the day we were there. Yes, we were the group of loud, picture taking girls cutting in line (only sort of), accidentally stepping on your toes as we hurried to keep up with our line leader (Heidi almost sat on someone), and trying to talk the poor unfortunate staff into letting us on an extra ride or two (that part wasn't me, I promise!);).

Second favorite ride ... Tower of Terror!! So fun. Gotta love the spooky employee lady behind us in the pic.

Haunted Mansion was fun.

As was embarrassing ourselves trying to pull that darn sword out of the stone.

Exciting to be there December 1st with all the Christmas lights!

And decorations ... It's a Small World.

What a great (and very long) day!!

One last late-night stop for a delicious sandwich (Heidi really likes this place--can ya tell??:)!!

And back to the airport first thing in the morning!
All there is to do now is schedule the next trip!:)
