snow day

Snow days/weeks are kinda big around here since we don't necessarily get them all that much--maybe once a year, but more likely, once every couple of years.

So what does that mean?
When they come, we play hard:).

This kid definitely enjoyed the snow; although, his mean mom didn't let him go out in it all the time. Mostly because it was a crazy challenge trying to keep his gloves on and his little hands from totally freezing.

All these guys also LOVED the snow. They made this fun sledding train down the back hill at our park. Only problem ... there's a fence right at the bottom. Yeah, kind of a big problem.

Ah, well, I'm guessing the ones standing are probably not going to make it that far anyway;). Boys! (sorry, Mae, but I guess you're very fondly included in that group)

Uh, James, pretty sure the sled is supposed to be on bottom. Just sayin'.

There was even enough snow out there for a snow cave/wall thing. Hi, back there, Heidi!

It was quite a group effort

These two kids pretty much lived out in the snow. I think they were on the verge of building an igloo and moving out of the house altogether.
They even found some pretty large ice sickles and got creative.

A bat ...

From the look on her face, I'm gonna go with karate thingy ...

Obviously a gun ...

And this one. Well, pretty sure that face is saying, "my fender just fell off," so we'll go with that. Not that I have any experience in this area;).

You guys coming in? Ever??

I've been meaning to update our blog layout with the new family pictures we had taken in November.
