As soon as we left the Great Wolf Lodge, we kept heading south on down to Portland to tell Grams & Gramps what a great time we had;). That, and to stay a couple of days.
It was super fun to visit, hang out with cute cousins, go to church together, and pay a visit to the awesome Portland zoo.
As always, Kevin had the kids mesmerized.

And as always, Joseph was mesmerized with a random household object.

This cute cousin loved to wrestle! He found easy-going, happy-go-lucky Brooks to be the perfect wrestling partner.

Me and my boy. Well, one of them anyway ... they're all over the place;).

And here's our pics from the zoo. The good news is that it was pretty much empty, the bad news is that the reason it was empty was because it was cold and rainy outside.

We found enough to bundle up in to stay at least reasonably warm ... Grandpa even had his overalls in the car. Nice.

And despite the cold, we still had a really good time. Oh, and Auntie Carrie got to join us ... yay!!
Taking a train ride.

Viewing the animals from this cool explorer truck. Clever.

Oh, no. They're trapped in the desert.

James and Carrie are quite the rock climbers.

So is Miss Mae!

And that was about it. We lasted as long as we could, but despite the layers of clothing and the deliciously warm cups of hot cocoa, the rain finally got the better of us ...

And it was time to head home.

We sure love our grandmas and grandpas!!
