turning two

And here we are again, celebrating the second year of Joseph being a part of our family as well as the anniversary of a beautiful miracle. This kid is such a complete joy to everyone in the home. We just love him like crazy. Every one of us oohs and ahhs over each tiny thing he does. We all want his cute little kisses and sweet hugs. We never get tired of listening to his constant jabber (even though it really is just that, and we can hardly understand a word he's actually saying). He makes our home a more delightful place to be!

Mae wanted to decorate for his birthday and found this stashed in a cupboard somewhere. I suppose the missing letters really weren't all that important.

As is often the case, the grandparents came over and we had a "quiet" family party together. Not sure, though, why g-ma loo is missing--must have been out of town or something??

What does this little guy want for his birthday? Grandpa and more of him! Now, a couple of months later he might throw in Power Rangers and super hero figurines/costumes, but mostly still Grandpa (and Grandpa's "puck"--that is, his cool red truck).

Daddy sure loves this boy! Kinda impossible not to!!

Happy about the little flipping, yapping dog he got for a present. Looks like that last flip wasn't it's greatest.

Yummy ice cream sandwich cake. Little J may not be exactly sure why I'm holding a flaming tray of food right in front of him:).

Mae drew Joseph a birthday poster (in Grandma D style) of his then-favorite character--Barney. Big surprise for a two-year-old, right?!

Such a fantastic sister!

Well Mr. Jo Jo (as he calls himself). Thank you for being a part of our family. Thank you for hanging in there throughout your difficult arrival. Thanks for your amazing smiles, adorable songs, kind "sorries" (or "hi-sees"), and love of Star Wars ("hah-woe") We love everything about you!

Number Five

I've been meaning to update our blog layout with the new family pictures we had taken in November. But since I'm not going to get around to it anytime too soon, I thought I'd include a couple with this post. Aren't ' they cute! The crazy part, though, is that as much as I LOVE these pictures (thanks to McKenzie Goff), they will already be outdated as of September. Here's why ... Dueck baby #5 Arriving September 24 th 2010
