If I Only Had a Sister, Pt. 2

These pictures are from a couple of months back, but I couldn't resist posting them. Mae and our good friend, Isabelle, had a little too much fun with Joseph one day, dressing him up in one of my baby dresses (yes, that makes it fairly ancient;).

The fun part was how patient and calm he was as the girls played dolly with him. He sat fairly still while they stuffed him into the too-small-dress and fastened up as many buttons as they could manage. I think he was so calm because he was in a daze of "is this what I have to put up with for the rest of my life?"

What are these crazy girls doing to me!?

Anyone have an extra baby sister for sale ... preferably one that likes to be dressed up all day long? The girls also had to add on a hat that Mae got for Easter this past year.
I can't tell if he's contemplating laughing or crying in this picture. Here I think he's just finally resigned to his hopeless state.

Oh, Joseph, we sure love you! You mean so much to our family. And I'm happy to report that Mae's insatiable appetite for dressing you up in frilly things seems to be at an end ... I think:).

Number Five

I've been meaning to update our blog layout with the new family pictures we had taken in November. But since I'm not going to get around to it anytime too soon, I thought I'd include a couple with this post. Aren't ' they cute! The crazy part, though, is that as much as I LOVE these pictures (thanks to McKenzie Goff), they will already be outdated as of September. Here's why ... Dueck baby #5 Arriving September 24 th 2010

And to finish off April, we have ...  Earth-Day excitement! Porter's promposal to this sweet girl!! Which involved singing to her (with his bro. and buddies) in front of about 75 surprised onlookers. Happy Birthday to G-ma Loo:-) And sunny family day at the park ... Looks like the man bun is still going strong!;)

Baby Joseph

Another little miracle, Joseph Benjamin Dueck , arrived in our family September 5 th , 2010 at 3:23pm. Of course, every mom describes the birth of her children as miraculous--I know, I feel that way about each of mine--but in this case Joseph's healthy arrival really did turn out to be something of a miracle. But before I get into the story, I have some catching up to do since I haven't blogged at all about this pregnancy. So ... Here's me on the first day of school which was just two days before Joseph was born. Since I was taking pictures of the kids, James decided I needed one as well. I'm actually glad he did, because I had been meaning to get a picture of my baby "bump" for days if not weeks and hadn't gotten around to it. Of course, I thought I still had plenty of time to make it happen. And just very quickly, I have to throw out some highlights from this pregnancy which for some reason all have to do with Mae ... Mae telling me (during the first tri...
