Fathers & Sons 2012 (aka, sprint camping, aka, boys who need haircuts)

Okay, so here's P J & B at the very quick, one-night Father's and Sons camp out that they venture out to yearly. One of those arrive late, stay up late, run around in a pack of dirty little men (referring to all the kids here, not dads), all just to pack up the next day and return home, kind of things.

But oh, how they look forward to it!

So here's our boys minus joseph--"potty-trained" is a family requirement;)--trying to stay warm. The camp out takes place in late spring while the NW is still pretty chilly. Luckily that sleeping bag is not lacking for space, or for dirt either I'm sure;).

And here they are already loaded up and headed for home. Like the title says, sprint camping!

Of course, our family can never return home from camping out this direction without a quick stop to a favorite burger joint.

Good times with Dad (too bad he's not in any of the pictures, aside from his reflection in the car window:). Now it looks like its time for mom to pull out the shears. I've never seen those boys with such long hair; at least, not all at the same time.

Will the fun never end;)?!

Number Five

I've been meaning to update our blog layout with the new family pictures we had taken in November. But since I'm not going to get around to it anytime too soon, I thought I'd include a couple with this post. Aren't ' they cute! The crazy part, though, is that as much as I LOVE these pictures (thanks to McKenzie Goff), they will already be outdated as of September. Here's why ... Dueck baby #5 Arriving September 24 th 2010

april 2018 misc.

And to finish off April, we have ...  Earth-Day excitement! Porter's promposal to this sweet girl!! Which involved singing to her (with his bro. and buddies) in front of about 75 surprised onlookers. Happy Birthday to G-ma Loo:-) And sunny family day at the park ... Looks like the man bun is still going strong!;)

Baby Joseph

Another little miracle, Joseph Benjamin Dueck , arrived in our family September 5 th , 2010 at 3:23pm. Of course, every mom describes the birth of her children as miraculous--I know, I feel that way about each of mine--but in this case Joseph's healthy arrival really did turn out to be something of a miracle. But before I get into the story, I have some catching up to do since I haven't blogged at all about this pregnancy. So ... Here's me on the first day of school which was just two days before Joseph was born. Since I was taking pictures of the kids, James decided I needed one as well. I'm actually glad he did, because I had been meaning to get a picture of my baby "bump" for days if not weeks and hadn't gotten around to it. Of course, I thought I still had plenty of time to make it happen. And just very quickly, I have to throw out some highlights from this pregnancy which for some reason all have to do with Mae ... Mae telling me (during the first tri...
