lacrosse season take 1

So, Kevin got a new camera this year.

And what does this have to do with lacrosse?? Well, nothing at all. But it has everything to do with pictures. Lots and lots and lots of pictures!!

Usually I would just do one no-biggie lacrosse post at the end of the season. But seeing as the boys' weekly games are being utilized as something of a testing/training ground for the shiny new toy, I decided I might have to post in stages.

Lacrosse is a super fun sport to watch, and, i'm told, an awfully fun one to play. James in particular would like to stick with it for the long haul, but considering we have to travel to a neighboring city to participate (can be a little tricky to find a club), only time will tell.

Here's one of the first games of the season (actually, they fit in a double this day).

Gearing up.

Porter the goalie.

James on the run.

Game over. Porter is the one with dirt all over his back and James is no. 15 right beside him.

James getting recognized for a key play.

Game two.

Porter fighting for the ball.

And tending goal again.

James getting in place.

On your marks, get set ....

Tired boys!

Number Five

I've been meaning to update our blog layout with the new family pictures we had taken in November. But since I'm not going to get around to it anytime too soon, I thought I'd include a couple with this post. Aren't ' they cute! The crazy part, though, is that as much as I LOVE these pictures (thanks to McKenzie Goff), they will already be outdated as of September. Here's why ... Dueck baby #5 Arriving September 24 th 2010

april 2018 misc.

And to finish off April, we have ...  Earth-Day excitement! Porter's promposal to this sweet girl!! Which involved singing to her (with his bro. and buddies) in front of about 75 surprised onlookers. Happy Birthday to G-ma Loo:-) And sunny family day at the park ... Looks like the man bun is still going strong!;)

Baby Joseph

Another little miracle, Joseph Benjamin Dueck , arrived in our family September 5 th , 2010 at 3:23pm. Of course, every mom describes the birth of her children as miraculous--I know, I feel that way about each of mine--but in this case Joseph's healthy arrival really did turn out to be something of a miracle. But before I get into the story, I have some catching up to do since I haven't blogged at all about this pregnancy. So ... Here's me on the first day of school which was just two days before Joseph was born. Since I was taking pictures of the kids, James decided I needed one as well. I'm actually glad he did, because I had been meaning to get a picture of my baby "bump" for days if not weeks and hadn't gotten around to it. Of course, I thought I still had plenty of time to make it happen. And just very quickly, I have to throw out some highlights from this pregnancy which for some reason all have to do with Mae ... Mae telling me (during the first tri...
