And for the grand finale of our fun, all-encompassing Utah adventure ... we got to enjoy the highly anticipated (around our house anyway), fantastic wedding of Mr. D and of course Ms. H!!!

Oh my goodness, what fun celebrating this exciting event and being together as a family--an even bigger family now with all of Big D's;) fabulous relatives!

And, oh, how the kids loved messing around in the "backyard" of the reception home by the pond.

It was a little crazy trying to get a picture of g-ma and the all the kiddos (notice the pant-less child).

I don't actually think any of the whole-group grandkid pics turned out, but she did get a great one at least with the granddaughters:-)--for some reason not posted here.

It was a really wonderful day from start to finish and we are so excited for the happy couple!!!

Number Five

I've been meaning to update our blog layout with the new family pictures we had taken in November. But since I'm not going to get around to it anytime too soon, I thought I'd include a couple with this post. Aren't ' they cute! And to finish off April, we have ... Earth-Day excitement! Porter's promposal to this sweet girl!! Which involved singing to her (with his bro. and buddies) in front of about 75 surprised onlookers. Happy Birthday to G-ma Loo:-) And sunny family day at the park ... Looks like the man bun is still going strong!;)

Baby Joseph

Another little miracle, Joseph Benjamin Dueck , arrived in our family September 5 th , 2010 at 3:23pm. Of course, every mom describes the birth of her children as miraculous--I know, I feel that way about each of mine--but in this case Joseph's healthy arrival really did turn out to be something of a miracle. But before I get into the story, I have some catching up to do since I haven't blogged at all about this pregnancy. So ... Here's me on the first day of school which was just two days before Joseph was born. Since I was taking pictures of the kids, James decided I needed one as well. I'm actually glad he did, because I had been meaning to get a picture of my baby "bump" for days if not weeks and hadn't gotten around to it. Of course, I thought I still had plenty of time to make it happen. And just very quickly, I have to throw out some highlights from this pregnancy which for some reason all have to do with Mae ...
