Day of Dads!!! (June 2017)

I have to start out by saying ... I LOVE June!! June June June June June. June is wonderful. June is fantastic. Why? Because with it finally comes the sunshine!! Goodbye rainy days, goodbye grey skies. See you in September!

Disclaimer: This description is only partially accurate. If planning a trip to the Seattle area in June, expect about a 50/50 chance of rain showers:-) Just feeling a bit euphoric here looking at these beautiful blue skies;).

Okay, so to the point! The first part of June brought a fun day out as a family to celebrate our wonderful father! Kevin is fast-paced, hard-working, dedicated, passionate, and definitely ENTERTAINING. We are all lucky to have him as the Dad of our little clan.

And no better way to celebrate him, than to be out in nature!

A mountain hike would of course been his ideal outing, but as time was limited, heading over to a quiet local park was definitely a good Plan B.

Where we attempted to take some impromptu family pics.

Where Nanci inadvertently had an-all-too-provocative-pose that we laughed and laughed at afterwards.  We were all just supposed to take a funny family picture, but she somehow got caught up doing this!  :-)  (this is Kevin by the way, and I couldn't help but sneak this one in here!)
...and a little close-up! (if she ever goes back and reads this post, she's going to kill me!)

Played a little Bocce Ball.

Had some fun with phones and cameras!

And enjoyed celebrating this awesome guy:)

Before heading home for dinner and treats!!

Number Five

I've been meaning to update our blog layout with the new family pictures we had taken in November. But since I'm not going to get around to it anytime too soon, I thought I'd include a couple with this post. Aren't ' they cute! The crazy part, though, is that as much as I LOVE these pictures (thanks to McKenzie Goff), they will already be outdated as of September. Here's why ... Dueck baby #5 Arriving September 24 th 2010

april 2018 misc.

And to finish off April, we have ...  Earth-Day excitement! Porter's promposal to this sweet girl!! Which involved singing to her (with his bro. and buddies) in front of about 75 surprised onlookers. Happy Birthday to G-ma Loo:-) And sunny family day at the park ... Looks like the man bun is still going strong!;)

Baby Joseph

Another little miracle, Joseph Benjamin Dueck , arrived in our family September 5 th , 2010 at 3:23pm. Of course, every mom describes the birth of her children as miraculous--I know, I feel that way about each of mine--but in this case Joseph's healthy arrival really did turn out to be something of a miracle. But before I get into the story, I have some catching up to do since I haven't blogged at all about this pregnancy. So ... Here's me on the first day of school which was just two days before Joseph was born. Since I was taking pictures of the kids, James decided I needed one as well. I'm actually glad he did, because I had been meaning to get a picture of my baby "bump" for days if not weeks and hadn't gotten around to it. Of course, I thought I still had plenty of time to make it happen. And just very quickly, I have to throw out some highlights from this pregnancy which for some reason all have to do with Mae ... Mae telling me (during the first tri...
