Linda Loo Weekend Meets Rattlesnake Ledge (August 2017)

We always love it when Aunt Carrie and Uncle Jason come to town, or more accurately, come to the country:-). Since we weren't able to plan a camping trip this year, we decided to make their visit our official Grandma Loo weekend!!

We ate fish n' chips (and yummy chowder)...

Went on a hike (shocking, right?;) to Rattlesnake Ledge (https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/rattle-snake-ledge), and then spent the day playing at Rattlesnake Lake.

No pictures of the hike for some reason. Hmm ....
But we did have an incredible day at the lake and caught a few shots of our time there!!

Three cheers for family-lake time!!

It was a perfect day, minus some wildfire smoke!

As always, I loved getting to spend time with my mom and sisters!!!

Since they're always spoiling us and we're never actually together on their real birthdays, we decided to have a summer "b-day" party for Carrie & Jason. We definitely had fun picking out some prizes for them, like these sleeping masks.

We even had cupcakes for this non-birthday birthday party.

It was definitely a HOT day, so being at the lake was pretty much perfection!!

Playing games ...

Taking out the kayaks and float tubes ...

Even g-ma got in on the action!!

The kiddos LOVED being together with the cousins!!!!!!!

And they all had fun up until the very last moment. Pretty obvious from this picture, yeah?!!

And last but not least, our weekend ended with some friendly games of pickle ball at our neighborhood park:-).

Love ya, Sis:)!

Number Five

I've been meaning to update our blog layout with the new family pictures we had taken in November. But since I'm not going to get around to it anytime too soon, I thought I'd include a couple with this post. Aren't ' they cute! The crazy part, though, is that as much as I LOVE these pictures (thanks to McKenzie Goff), they will already be outdated as of September. Here's why ... Dueck baby #5 Arriving September 24 th 2010

april 2018 misc.

And to finish off April, we have ...  Earth-Day excitement! Porter's promposal to this sweet girl!! Which involved singing to her (with his bro. and buddies) in front of about 75 surprised onlookers. Happy Birthday to G-ma Loo:-) And sunny family day at the park ... Looks like the man bun is still going strong!;)

Baby Joseph

Another little miracle, Joseph Benjamin Dueck , arrived in our family September 5 th , 2010 at 3:23pm. Of course, every mom describes the birth of her children as miraculous--I know, I feel that way about each of mine--but in this case Joseph's healthy arrival really did turn out to be something of a miracle. But before I get into the story, I have some catching up to do since I haven't blogged at all about this pregnancy. So ... Here's me on the first day of school which was just two days before Joseph was born. Since I was taking pictures of the kids, James decided I needed one as well. I'm actually glad he did, because I had been meaning to get a picture of my baby "bump" for days if not weeks and hadn't gotten around to it. Of course, I thought I still had plenty of time to make it happen. And just very quickly, I have to throw out some highlights from this pregnancy which for some reason all have to do with Mae ... Mae telling me (during the first tri...
