Christmas morning

Now for Christmas morning. Which, as always, was super fantastic!

We all woke up around 8:00 (kinda lame, I know), and waited upstairs while Kevin headed down to turn on the Christmas music and take pictures of Santa's handy work.

Notice Kevin's side vs. my side. Ha ha, just kidding. I was spoiled way more on Christmas Eve.

Kiddos (aka, wolf pack) cuddling together while they wait

And then the fun begins ...

Joseph did a little of this and a little of that.

Mae was excited about her rollerblades.

But probably had the most fun with a fashion sketch kit.

Brooks was Brooks, silly faces and all.

James enjoyed peeking at his new sportsgear.

And sporting his crazy hat.

And, as is fairly customary, porter checked out a new book first.

Then gravitated to the family/kids gift.

And kinda just stayed there.

Along with Kevin and James.

With a short break to get super excited about the Wild Waves season passes.

And then there's me ... figuring out the next yummy thing we should eat. Sounds about right:).

Another wonderful Christmas come and gone. Love the great spirit all throughout the season!!

Number Five

I've been meaning to update our blog layout with the new family pictures we had taken in November. But since I'm not going to get around to it anytime too soon, I thought I'd include a couple with this post. Aren't ' they cute! The crazy part, though, is that as much as I LOVE these pictures (thanks to McKenzie Goff), they will already be outdated as of September. Here's why ... Dueck baby #5 Arriving September 24 th 2010

april 2018 misc.

And to finish off April, we have ...  Earth-Day excitement! Porter's promposal to this sweet girl!! Which involved singing to her (with his bro. and buddies) in front of about 75 surprised onlookers. Happy Birthday to G-ma Loo:-) And sunny family day at the park ... Looks like the man bun is still going strong!;)

Baby Joseph

Another little miracle, Joseph Benjamin Dueck , arrived in our family September 5 th , 2010 at 3:23pm. Of course, every mom describes the birth of her children as miraculous--I know, I feel that way about each of mine--but in this case Joseph's healthy arrival really did turn out to be something of a miracle. But before I get into the story, I have some catching up to do since I haven't blogged at all about this pregnancy. So ... Here's me on the first day of school which was just two days before Joseph was born. Since I was taking pictures of the kids, James decided I needed one as well. I'm actually glad he did, because I had been meaning to get a picture of my baby "bump" for days if not weeks and hadn't gotten around to it. Of course, I thought I still had plenty of time to make it happen. And just very quickly, I have to throw out some highlights from this pregnancy which for some reason all have to do with Mae ... Mae telling me (during the first tri...
