Kevin b-day (October 2015)

We sure had a fun time with Kevin's 39th b-day in October of 2015. We were especially excited to see him open some special b-day prizes we had planned for him. He got cool socks, special hand-made cards, and movie tickets from G-ma Loo (the boy really likes his movies!!). I was looking forward to giving him my gift: tickets to a Dracula production at the Taproot Theater that I knew he'd love! And finally, we were all excited about his extra special gift from all of us (that James helped plan and pick out from Zumiez)--an awesome skateboard!! We knew he had one as a kid, and since he's always trying to ride James' longboard when we're out together, figured it was time for him to have another one.

Opening presents.

A little surprised by this special gift:-)

Which we took right out to the park to have fun with!

Fun for days!!

And finally, a little later in the month we enjoyed a on a night out in Seattle at the Taproot Theater showing of Dracula. The show was fantastic and our favorite part about this theater is that it's small--you could probably have a seat just about anywhere in the room and still totally feel completely immersed in the production (http://taproottheatre.org).

Happy Birthday, Hon!! We sure had fun celebrating you this year. Now just don't hurt yourself on that skateboard;).

Number Five

I've been meaning to update our blog layout with the new family pictures we had taken in November. But since I'm not going to get around to it anytime too soon, I thought I'd include a couple with this post. Aren't ' they cute! The crazy part, though, is that as much as I LOVE these pictures (thanks to McKenzie Goff), they will already be outdated as of September. Here's why ... Dueck baby #5 Arriving September 24 th 2010

And to finish off April, we have ...  Earth-Day excitement! Porter's promposal to this sweet girl!! Which involved singing to her (with his bro. and buddies) in front of about 75 surprised onlookers. Happy Birthday to G-ma Loo:-) And sunny family day at the park ... Looks like the man bun is still going strong!;)

Baby Joseph

Another little miracle, Joseph Benjamin Dueck , arrived in our family September 5 th , 2010 at 3:23pm. Of course, every mom describes the birth of her children as miraculous--I know, I feel that way about each of mine--but in this case Joseph's healthy arrival really did turn out to be something of a miracle. But before I get into the story, I have some catching up to do since I haven't blogged at all about this pregnancy. So ... Here's me on the first day of school which was just two days before Joseph was born. Since I was taking pictures of the kids, James decided I needed one as well. I'm actually glad he did, because I had been meaning to get a picture of my baby "bump" for days if not weeks and hadn't gotten around to it. Of course, I thought I still had plenty of time to make it happen. And just very quickly, I have to throw out some highlights from this pregnancy which for some reason all have to do with Mae ... Mae telling me (during the first tri...
